A control LED integrated into the base plate indicates the battery charge level when the light is switched on. The colors have the following meaning: green > 20%, orange 10-20%, red < 10%. If the battery is completely discharged, the light automatically switches to sleep mode. Once charging has begun, the light can be turned back on by touch. The control LED flashes during charging. Once charging is complete, the control LED remains solid green.
